School profile settings
Setup → Institution Profile is where you keep your school's official information up to date. The details here appear on invoices, ID cards, official documents, and your public webpage.
What's on this page
Identity
- Legal name — what appears on tax-relevant documents.
- Display name — your brand name as parents know it.
- Type — School, College, Coaching, etc.
- Registration number — society or trust registration.
- Year established.
Registered address
Your headquarters address — used on invoices and your public webpage footer. (Different from your individual campus addresses, which you set per campus.)
Tax info (for Indian schools)
- GSTIN — your GST registration number.
- PAN — your school's PAN.
- TAN — needed for the TDS section of payroll exports.
Contact
Phone, email, website. Used as the default in your school's public-facing communication.
Defaults
- Currency — defaults to INR for India. Individual campuses can override.
- Timezone — affects audit log timestamps and report cutoffs.
- Default language — what new staff see initially.
- Financial year start — usually April in India.
- Academic year start — usually June in India.
What you can't change after going live
Some fields lock once your first invoice is issued, because backdated invoices have to match what was originally on them:
- Legal name
- Currency
- GSTIN
Everything else stays editable.
