Class groups (coming soon)

A class-level activity feed for sharing photos, homework, and quick updates. On our roadmap.

Class groups (coming soon)

Class groups are a feature we're working on — a class-level activity feed where teachers can share photos, homework reminders, and quick updates with the parents and students of a specific class.

The data layer is partially built but the user-facing interface isn't live yet. This article describes what it'll be once it ships.

What it'll do

From the teacher side

  • Post "Today's homework: pages 45–48".
  • Share a photo from a science project.
  • Send a reminder about a field trip.
  • Run a quick poll ("How many have completed last week's reading?").

From the parent side

  • See a chronological feed for their child's class.
  • Like and comment on posts.
  • Get a notification when new content lands.

When to use class groups vs announcements

When this ships, the difference will be:

  • Class group — informal, frequent, conversational. Homework, photos, polls.
  • Announcement — formal, broadcast-only. Holiday notices, PTM schedules, fee reminders. See Sending announcements.

For now

Use announcements to a specific class as the closest equivalent today. You can pick a single class as the audience and send updates that way.
